Irfan Pathan’s words after IPL 2017 Auction Snub

Irfan Pathan who was one of the popular names in the cricket world posted an emotional message for his fans and followers on 21st February. As we all know many players were placed in the IPL 2017 Auctions but some of the reputed and popular players were not bought by any of the teams from the IPL franchise teams.

Before the official IPL Auctions, it was thought that Irfan Pathan and Ishant Sharma must be in the list of top favorites in the Auctions. But the actual auction showed some different shades which were never thought to be seen. Irfan Pathan and Ishant Sharma were among the list of unsold players in the auctions.

A base price of 50 lakh was decided for the IPL Specialist Irfan Pathan which was thought to be attractive to bidders point of view. A good all-rounder remained unsold while on the other hand players with much less experience were enjoying high bidding at the auctions.

Also, Ishant Sharma with a base price of 2 crores was not bought by any of the teams. On Tuesday 21st February a tweet from one of the most popular cricketer appeared on his account.

In the previous days, Irfan Pathan was really working hard on his fitness.”I worked very hard during the whole season and before the season as well. My fielding has also improved,” he told NDTV during the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament. He has played 120 ODI and T20 matches, 29 Tests.
