The most awaited event of 2017 the IPL 2017 Auctions took place on 20th February. The auction witnessed several remarkable moments where some less popular players were bought for expensive prices. While the popular and reputed players were unable to impress the franchise team and remained unbought.

1. Ishant Sharma is an Indian cricketer and fast bowler also he is a reputed and senior player but was unable to impress bidders in the auctions.

2. Irfan Pathan is also an Indian cricketer and was a part of every IPL but in this season’s official auctions he was not bought by any of the official IPL team.

3. Thisara Perera a Sri Lankan all-rounder who was a part of Rising Pune Supergiants was not bought by any of the teams in this season.

4. Imran Tahir is a South African cricketer and leg-spinner. He currently plays for the Dolphins in South Africa. Also, he was the top bowler in both the ODI and Twenty20 rankings. He too was not bought by any of the franchise teams.

5. Brad Hogg is an Australian cricketer and uses to play as an all-rounder in the international team. His base price was 50 lakh but then also was not bought in the auctions.

6. Jonny Bairstow who is an England cricketer and he is a wicketkeeper. His base price was 1.5 crore may due to over price the franchise didn’t buy him.

7. Parvez Rasool an Indian cricketer who plays as an all-rounder for Jammu and Kashmir. He played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the previous seasons was also unpicked in this season’s auction.

8. Mohammad Shahzad is an Afghan cricketer and is a right-handed batsman who plays primarily as a wicketkeeper. He was given a base price of Rs 50 lakh but was not bought by any of the IPL teams.

9. Cheteshwar Pujara who is an Indian cricketer and also plays for Saurashtra in domestic cricket. He is a right-handed batsman. He has priced at Rs 50 lakh but remained unsold in the auctions.

10. Marlon Samuels who is a Jamaican cricketer and plays for West Indies. He is an all-rounder right-handed batsman and an off-spinner. In 2017 IPL auctions he has priced at Rs 1 crore but also remained unsold.
