Zlatan Ibrahimovic crowned as the Premier League Player of the Month for the month of December beating the likes of Adam Lallana and Cesar Azpilicueta.
Ibrahimovic stood as an outstanding goal scorer this month for Manchester United, scoring five goals in six league appearances for the club, who has come out on top by the voting which was held on the Sky Sports website and apps.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic also helped the Manchester United remain unbeaten throughout December, winning five back-to-back Premier League games. Manchester United has been currently unbeaten for 13 games this season. Ibrahimovic proved himself and silenced those mouth who were uttering that he would not be successful in the Premier League.
Ibrahimovic claimed his victory with 24,092 votes out of 64,000 votes which were cast in the poll. Six candidates were chosen by the expert panel from SkySports. The other 5 candidates are Liverpool’s Lallana who came second with 17,935 votes, while Chelsea defender Azpilicueta was third with 11,944 votes. Rounding off the top six was Tottenham’s Dele Alli (5,863), Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford (2,874) and West Ham’s Dimitri Payet (1,264).
